Modernisation of the tramway network- Tram Services Resume on 8 December

From the start of service on 8 December, the tram network will be restored, following the completion of Anas works on the Tangenziale and ATAC track renewal in several sections, although some service changes will remain in place.

 

From 9 to 12 December, services on lines 3 and 8 will be modified due to works linked to the Carme - Centro Archeologico Monumentale di Roma Capitale - project, while line 14 will be partly replaced by buses for the construction of the new Togliatti tramway.

SERVICE DETAILS

LINE 2

Regular service between Piazzale Flaminio and Piazza Mancini.

Timetable

• First/last departure from Piazzale Flaminio: 05:30-00:00
• First/last departure from Piazza Mancini: 05:21-00:24 (holidays: 05:19-00:14)
In the morning, extended trips between Viale dello Scalo San Lorenzo and Piazzale Flaminio/Piazza Mancini.

In the evening, extended trips between Piazzale Flaminio and Porta Maggiore.

LINE 3

Regular service between Trastevere station and Valle Giulia.

From 9 to 12 December, due to the closure of Viale del Parco del Celio for the Carme project works, evening tram services will be replaced by buses between Porta Maggiore and Valle Giulia.

• Trams Trastevere → Valle Giulia: 05:45-20:23
• Trams Valle Giulia → Trastevere: 05:30-19:05
• Limited tram service (Porta Maggiore–Valle Giulia): 19:43-01:15 (from Valle Giulia: 19:10-01:39)

• Evening replacement bus “3 shuttle bus” (Trastevere–Porta Maggiore): 20:35-00:30 (from Porta Maggiore: 19:46-01:10)

From 13 December

• First/last tram from Trastevere: 05:45-00:30

• From Valle Giulia: 05:30–00:30

LINE 5

Regular service between Termini and Piazza dei Gerani.

LINE 8

Regular service between Casaletto and Piazza Venezia.

From 9 to 12 December, evening tram services will be replaced by buses on the entire route due to Carme project works.

Service active between Termini station and Largo Preneste.

Between Largo Preneste and Viale Palmiro Togliatti, a replacement shuttle bus 14NAV is in operation due to tramway construction.

14NAV serves tram stops on Via Prenestina and the lateral lanes of Viale Palmiro Togliatti near suspended tram stops.

LINE 19

Service active between Piazza dei Gerani and Valle Giulia.

Between Valle Giulia and Viale Giulio Cesare, shuttle bus 19NAV is in operation.

19NAV serves tram stops between Porta Maggiore and Via Ottaviano, with additional stops on Via Flaminia (near Piazzale delle Belle Arti) and Via Carlo Alberto dalla Chiesa.
