Starting 15 January 2026, the experimental phase of the Metrebus Parking - License Plate Recognition project will begin at the Laurentina Park&Ride Car Park.
Cameras installed at the entrance and exit gates will allow Metrebus card holders to access the parking automatically, simplifying transit operations.
During the experimental phase, users holding a personal Metrebus card (charged with a valid monthly or annual subscription) can associate their vehicle’s license plate with their card through the MyATAC portal, by accessing the dedicated Metrebus Parking section.
Once the license plate is registered, the system will automatically recognise the vehicle at the gates, allowing the barrier to open without the need to use a ticket.
If the license plate is not recognized or not registered, access is still possible by placing the Metrebus card near the reader at the entrance and exit columns.
Users holding a personal Metrebus card (charged with a valid monthly or annual subscription) can register their vehicle’s license plate through the MyATAC portal.
The updated privacy policy is available on site at the cash desks and on the ATAC website, in the Parking section.
Entrance
In this case, use your card both on entry and exit, avoiding taking a ticket (that are reserved for occasional users only).

During the experimental phase, users with non-Metrebus card subscriptions (e.g., èRoma, Metrebus Lazio, impersonal tickets, etc.) can continue to access and exit the parking for free by simply placing their card near the readers at the entrance and exit columns.
Entrance
Take a ticket at the entrance column.
Payment
Pay at the automatic or manual cashier before exiting. After payment, users have 10 minutes to leave the car park.
